Next Tuesday I have my annual GYN appointment. Not something that I look forward to each year, but I know that it is important and necessary so I just suck it up and deal with it the best that I can. I don’t like having to take time off of work and I’m sure that everything will be fine, but the whole ordeal just makes me nervous. I’ve never trusted doctors and I try not to be a butt head when I go, but I do wear my heart on my sleeve and I usually don’t fool anyone with my attitude towards the medical field.

Every one in my immediate family was born on the 19th. It just worked out that way and it always gets a laugh from folks when they find out. September 19th is my youngest brother’s birthday, so we will all be eating dinner over at my parents place tonight to celebrate his 25th birthday. He is still living at home, but is working a full time job and saving his money to finally be able to move out on his own, so we are all hoping that this will be the last birthday that he will be celebrating at the old homestead with my parents.

Today is Sept. 11, 2010, the 9th anniversary of the well known terrorist attack on the Twin Towers and the Pentagon. I understand that there will be many ceremonies being help today to help the survivors and friends and family of the not so lucky victims that didn’t make it out alive.
I noticed that on the calendar it says that it is Patriot Day. I wonder if that is something new that they came up with since 911 or if it always was considered Patriot Day. Something to look into when I have a few moments online. Right now I’m getting ready for a busy weekend, the weather is supposed to be nice, we won’t be having many more weekends of decent weather left so I’m going to try and take in as much as I can while I can.
Another Friday Night with The Dolphins

From what I understand there will be another episode this Friday night t on The Animal Planet of their new hit TV series Blood Dolphins. It is a very disturbing show, but something that really needs to be brought to the attention of everyone all around the world. The harvesting and misuse of these fabulous creatures is unacceptable and something really needs to be done.
I attend on watching it tonight and see if they offer a way for people like me to be able to do anything to help. It may just be something simple like going to a website and making a donation, but I’ll find out for sure tonight at 10:00pm EST

I’ve always enjoyed reading. It’s too bad that I don’t have a lot of free time to enjoy more good books. I do carry a book in my car to turn to when I find myself in situations that allow me some good quality reading. I just finished reading ” The Intelligencer” a novel by Leslie Silbert. I didn’t think that I would enjoy it as much as I did. I remember my mother telling me not to judge a book by it’s cover and I’m finding out how very true that old saying is more and more as live goes on. So I’m glad that I ignored the strange book cover on this novel and took the time to read it, it certainly was worth the time it took to read it and I will look for more books by Leslie Silbert.
